CROSSWORD CLUB BRANDING AND VISUAL IDENTITY

role: art direction, graphic design

Crossword club is a private the private weekly gathering of a gourd of friends with two goals: to solve the ultimate challenge of the crossword world – the NYT Sunday crossword. And to spend some quality time together. 

 

I was asked to create a visual identity for this gathering, including key assets:

  • naming
  • logo
  • key style elements
  • style guide for future references.

and to design an invitation announcement for the upcoming events. 

 

It was decided to keep visual references to crosswords and the newspaper, but to keep it low-key as the club is not officially related to the newspaper in any way and is just a friends weekly gathering.
